2009: Grace, Generosity and Gratitude
As we look back on 2009, it it is grace that comes to mind first, then generosity and lots of gratitude. Grace as Vestry began the year looking at “Transforming Congregational Culture,” and the future of St. James and the Episcopal Church as we grow in our Christian faith. Grace as we accepted the resignation of our rector Jenny Montgomery and then sent her off to St. Andrews, with gifts that displayed a generosity beyond expectation. Then came the grace and generosity of St. James leadership in the vestry and parish. So many of you stepped forward taking on extra responsibility in this transition time between rectors. And we are grateful as you continue to give of your time, energy, talent and finances to make this a vital parish. Gratitude is what comes to my mind as we think of the resources here at St. James for the work that God has given us to do; welcome all, reach out to others and grow in faith.
Thank you and many blessings on you all in 2010!

Fair trade coffee
St. James Church uses fair trade coffee. We see this as one step we can take in helping to alleviate poverty in the world by helping these farmers provide financially for their families.
