Lectionary
The lectionary is a collection of bible passages appointed to be read at public worship.  We use the Revised Common Lectionary (RCL). This lectionary is a three-year cycle of readings (Year A, B and C).  We are currently in Year A which began on the first Sunday of Advent 2010.  Using the RCL, at each service (Saturday 5:15pm, and Sunday 9:30 am), we hear a passage from
  • the Old Testament, Apocrypha or Acts of the Apostles,
  • from the Book of Revelation or the Epistles, and
  • from one of the four Gospels.

and also read or sing a Psalm.
