Thank you God for the blessings of faith in your son Jesus Christ. Teach us to spread the good news of His presence throughout the world.
God of Mercy, open our hearts.

(To Eradicate Extreme Poverty and Hunger)
Thank you God for the blessings of sufficient food to eat. Teach us to see the unfortunate in our own neighborhoods and around the world who need our help to receive the basic needs of life.
God of Plenty, open our hearts.

(Achieve Universal Primary Education for Children)
Thank you God for the blessings of Teachers and Public Education for all children. Teach us to see the children in other parts of the world who do not have that same luxury and need our help to promote Primary Education for all your Children.
O God of Wonder, open our hearts.

( Promote Gender Equality and Empower Women)
Thank you God for the blessings of Equal Rights for all in this country. Teach us to see that many in the rest of the world are not afforded equal status and need our voices raised in unison to empower them.
O God of Justice, open our hearts.

(Reduce Child Mortality)
Thank you God for the blessings of Health care providers, hospitals and medical equipment to treat diseases and extend the lives of our infants and children. Teach us to see the dying children around the world who need our assistance to survive and thrive.
O God of Compassion, open our hearts.

(Improve Maternal Health)
Thank you God for the blessings of Nutritionist and Specialist to improve the health of pregnant women and ensure a safe and healthy delivery of our children. Teach us to see the expectant mothers throughout the world who need our assistance to survive and thrive during this crucial time in their lives.
O God of Life, open our hearts.

(Combat HIV/AIDS, Malaria and Other Diseases)
Thank you God for the blessings of researchers and medicines to prevent, treat and cure many illnesses. Teach us to see those suffering around the world that need our help to ensure clean drinking water and protection from insects and germs that spread disease.
O God of Healing, open our hearts

(Ensure Environmental Sustainability)
Thank you God for the blessings of this universe in which we live. Teach us to see the proper way to care for it to ensure future generations an even greater quality of air and water and soil.
O God of Creation, open our hearts.

(Create a Global Partnership for Development)
Thank you God for the blessings of opportunities to earn a living and afford homes and clothing and leisure activities. Teach us to see those around the world who need our assistance to develop jobs for their families, their villages and their countries.

Fair trade coffee
 St. James Church uses fair trade coffee. We see this as one step we can take in helping to alleviate poverty in the world by helping these farmers provide financially for their families.
