Children's Ministry: June 2010
“Worship the Lord with gladness; come into his presence with singing.” Psalm 100:2 (NRSV Bible)

We are in the middle of our “What is Worship?” cycle. This workshop will continue on until the end of June. The children have learned about the different facets of a worship service and what it means to be an Episcopalian. I hope that you and your child/ren can discuss what worship is and why it is important.

Over the next few weeks we will be learning about the special role clergy plays in worship, the different services/ceremonies, and more about the Book of Common Prayer.

We will finish this year of Sunday School on June 27th. That day we will celebrate the wonderful year we have had together and Sunday School Recognition. I would like to say that it has been an honor and a privilege working with the children and adults of St. James. This time with you all has been priceless.

Thank You!
In Christ’s Peace and Love, Joanna Philley
