1. Describe a time when St. James was at a high point, when you felt most engaged. Your answer
can be about a worship service or an activity outside of worship.

2.What do you value most about being a member of St. James? What elements of our church life
together are most meaningful to you and why? For example:

3. What attracted you initially to St. James?
4. How can we be most welcoming to new and prospective members? What do we do well now?
5. Think back to a time when you really connected with a rector (it doesn’t have to be a rector
from St. James):

6. What characteristics do you value most in a rector?
a. How do you feel about a rector’s having a political agenda?
7. Are there different approaches to worship services you have appreciated?

1. How can the Search Committee best keep the congregation informed about the process?
