Baruch atah, Adonai eloheinu
(Blessed are you, Lord our G-d)
Blessed be G-d, creator of Adam and Eve:
Open our hearts to all your people.
Bless us with compassion towards
those who serve us in minimum wage jobs,
those who have no source of income
and those who have more wealth
than we think they know what to do with.
Blessed be G-d, who grants wisdom and holiness:
Open our ears that we may better hear your word and will,
Bless with discernment, those at General Convention
as they make decisions that affect our national church,
and bless this Parish, as we remember the Lewis House
and our mission to the Clinton Community.
Blessed be G-d, Master of the Universe:
Open our eyes to your works,
and help us to appreciate the beauty of your creation,
in Maine, the Carolinas, in Italy and other places in Europe,
(please add your own travel plans),
in our gardens, in our homes and
everywhere else we are this summer.
Blessed be G-d, who made the birds to fly
and the animals to run:
Guide and protect us on our way,
As we travel by airplane, car and bicycle,
And as we go camping.
Protect us from every danger;
and bring us in safety to journey's end.
Until we convene again.
Blessed be G-d, who has blessed us with all good things,
we pray in the name of Messiah Jesus.
Amen
